I'm proud of this young man, this Marine, who had the courage to get the job done, when it counted most! He'll do to "ride the river with"! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ http://www.tallahassee.com/mld/talla...l/10545988.htm

Spangler sounds like a good man and a good soldier who may do well, given a chance. The term hero is thrown about quite a bit,to include basket ball players and rock artists, here is,what I consider,a real hero. Need more like him!

The US never signed that Hague Convention covering the "proper" guns and calibers to use. We've had combat shotguns since they were invented. "Frig the friggen friggers" When things get upclose and personal, nothing beats a good scattergun!

When he goes into Iraq, he'll be one of "the old men" - despite his age. He's "been there, done that", gotten his experience the hard way. Those younger guys will be looking up to him, to show the way and keep them straight. This young man is gaining invaluable leadership skills - when he gets back to the real world, he'll go far, and won't take crap off the Libs. Semper Fi!!
