Can anyone tell me the best place to find .40 cal Black Talon ammo or its equivilent? I have been to all my sources, and can't find anything I think is close. Thanks folks.

I personally like Gold Dots. In 9mm I like 124 +P. I do still have some 147gr. +P Ranger SXTs though. I still have 2 Black Talons in .44 Mag. I have to say I have not found a .44 that performs as well as the Black Talon when it comes to shooting meat. I lke Hydrashoks ok, but I usally only find them in 147 gr., which I have discovered doesn't penetrate near as well as 124gr. in +P.
I'm a believer in Remington Golden Saber. The expansion is good (through wet news print any how) I get projectiles to look like they do in the magazines. I like the accuracy the best. They are mae a bit different, with that band on the projectile. Seems to work nicely. Of course, results may vary.
Any reputable ammo mfg projectile marketed as SD ammo, that shoots accurately in your gun should be good. There are so many out there.
I had a PC9 for a while, it worked pretty good. I killed an ugly little three point buck with it from about 40 yards. Then I traded it for my Mini, and now its spot in my gunsafe is inhabited by a 9mm Sub2000 Glock mag variant. I compare the PCs to the .44 carbines that Ruger used to make. I had one at the same time I had the PC9, they handled and shot a lot alike. I also got rid of that carbine, by cousin got it back (the whiner) and I replaced it with a 10.5" SBH. Lots easier to carry, though for a SA, it is hard on your hips. In fact, said cousin came and got the SBH from me today, to wear while marking property lines on a hunting lease.
