Well guys mark one more good flight down got to make the first solo cross country flight today afte waiting almost 4 weeks because of weather.
Flew up to Ohio County, KY airport performed touch and go and then went to the next airport on the plan and did a touch and go at Russellville KY airport and then home all went well and I got some really great experience with cross winds and a go around. All my landings were dead on perfect. Now the long flight is next 150 miles from the home field.
Congratulations Shawn, I hope you enjoy the air as much as I used to. Take pride in your navigation, and figure your return time to the second; it's a matter of pride. Own the sky tiger!

Oh I love to Fly. My happiest memories are flying with my Dad. What kind of aircraft are you using for those touch and go's a Cessna? My Dad had a beautiful Tri-Pacer fixed wing with triclycle landing gear, stereo system and all. Of course he had a crome nose cone and crome engine covers...LOLLL. We used to fly all over the place, I bet I could still take one up and make a landing...only if it was a matter of life and death though...LOLLL

Shaun...I've been waiting for a progress report from you. Congratulations for sure! Guess you lost your shirt tail when you first soloed. If/when you ever fly into downtown Kansas City Airport let me know and I'd like to be there to meet you and check out your plane.
I don't suppose there's any prohibitions on carrying firearms while flying private planes, are there?
Ms. I have been using the Cessna 172 pictured below most of the time, because when I go up it seems all the C-150's are being used. But I don't mind the bigger plane at all the space inside is better and the plane is set up for IFR so I have a built in GPS that really is the big help.
Ox,
Yes I carry on every flight as most pilots do -- one thing I caught onto immediately everyone seems to carry as a private pilot. Oh and we don't have to go through the Homeland security course either. OH Ox I prefer to stay out of big plane airports but I will gladly drop into the small field if I head out that way.
Papa G
When you get a chance pm me your phone and I will call and tell you the day I plan to be up that way.
im proud of ya shaun! thats great! my dad was a pilot for the civil air patrol for a long time so i got to spend alot of time with him in the air and he carried his m-1 carbine when he flew lol he didnt carry when he was on his C.A.P. duty, just when he was putting around on his own time.
