Thumbs down Hillary & Bill's pension plan

Hillary Rodham Clinton, as a New York State Senator, now comes under this fancy "Congressional Retirement and Staffing Plan," which means that even if she never gets re-elected, she STILL receives her Congressional salary until she dies.

If Bill out-lives her, he then inherits HER salary until HE dies. He is already getting his Presidential salary until he dies. If Hillary
out-lives Bill, she also gets HIS salary until she dies. Guess who pays for that? WE DO!

It's common knowledge that in order for her to establish NY residency, they purchased a million dollar-plus house in upscale Chappaqua, New York. Makes sense. They are entitled to Secret Service protection for life. Still makes sense.

Here is where it becomes interesting. Their mortgage payments hover at around $10,000 per month. BUT, an extra residence HAD to be built within the acreage to house the Secret Service agents.

The Clintons charge the Federal government $10,000 monthly rent for the use of that extra residence, which is just about equal to their mortgage payment. This means that we, the taxpayers, are paying the Clinton's salary, mortgage, transportation, safety and security , as well as the salaries for their 12 man staff - and, this is all perfectly legal!

When she runs for President, will you vote for her?

Old news Oxford

I hear about this before he left office. I would hope everyone here knows these shenannigans but what people do or do not know anymore never ceases to surprise me.

One of my favorites was when Bill Klinton met with the widow of a Police officer. (name and date eludes me) Later at a political function he was attending he spoke of this Police officer and the need for us to stop this kind of violence by enacting more gun laws.

Oh did I mention the guy died in a car wreck?

Slick's Faux Pauxs

Yeah, and he isn't against the sportsman. He'll let us keep our duck-hunting "rifles"! LOL
If only Stupidity were a criminal offense - but he'd get around that too. The tax payers should be paying for his cell in Leavenworth.

This payment plan works for republicans to,not just the dems.
Oh,did you know that it also works for the senators, and conggressmen to.They don't have to pay social security tax while in office, but the money they get after they are out of office comes
from this fund, which is called the general fund.Just another joke played on us.

Face it-being a congressman is the ultimate job. You get to tell the regular people that you know what's best for them, and you are exempt from all laws that are enacted. Not to mention, you have a checking account that never can be overdrawn.

I doubt most of us voted for the Klinton/Gore team. And they did not forget who put them there, the spent most of their time paying back the folks who gave them all the illegal contributions that got them elected, as well as those who spread lies for them.

They most certainly ARE! Representatives and Senators are both Congressmen. I think someone is confused here.

Congress is made up of the House of Representatives AND the Senate. Representatives AND Senators all are members of Congress. They are ALL Congressmen. I do not think I can state it any simpler.
