I doubt I'm alone in requesting that more information be supplied when making such a harsh accusation against one of the more pro-freedom and pro-serviceman presidents in our nation's history.

I frequently see only unsupported accusations and conclusions when slamming the president. Rarely is there actually some way of backing it up. I have my criticisms of Bush, but I certainly wouldn't accuse him lightly of screwing over our servicemen.

Be careful what you believe, the DNC loves to make such rash allegations which are practically always false, and sometimes it's they who are doing what they accuse Bush of.

Everyone on SS will be eating dog food and the streets and parks will be overrun with homeless people. It won't matter anyway because we will all die of sun stroke next year since Bush won't sign the Kyoto Agreement (or we might all drown since the polar caps will melt).

Look I can pay 10.00 for my meds that are not service connected rather than the 7.00 now. I say that cause all my meds are service connected and free. But we did just get a COLA and you know they have to get that back.

Well, let's all just hike over the Big Rock Candy Mountain to that wonderful land where life is free and easy.

Or, lets suck it up, and get those calls and e-mails in to our Congress Critters, and let them know what we need! Politicians are like kids - they need a firm hand to keep them on the straight&narrow, otherwise they go for immediate self-gratification.

If you are dumb enough to depend upon Social Security for your entire retirement income, you deserve what you get. Only a complete moron would look at that program and expect to live on it. The original intent of the program was to be a SUPPLEMENT to your existing retirement. Undisciplined and lazy people expect to live on just SS benefits alone.

AND there IS NO FREEEEKIN' global warming!!!!! It is a LIE propagated by pseudo-communist individuals and countries who wish to use this is a strong arm tactic for control.

Back to the original topic, though. I don't have a problem helping veterans. I support vets. However, I do have one concern. Many vets serve only four years or so, yet get health care benefits for life. I personally have a major problem with that concept. I can see career/retirees and combat wounded or sick vets getting appropriate care. I DO NOT, however, see giving free lifetime care to someone because they spent just four years of their life in the military. No job I have ever had (including the fire and police departments I have worked for) should ever feel obligated to give me free health care for unrelated sickness or injury.

My father was a good example. He spent just a few years (I think only two) in the Air Force during Korea. He packed parachutes in Japan. When he got sick in his later years (and I'm only talking forties and fifties), he got all sorts of V.A. benefits for which the tax payers forked out. That does not even consider the SS and disability benefits he got that far outweighed what he ever put into the system. That never sat well with me. Something about spending public money for private benefit just rubs me the wrong way.

any President can request anything in a budget propsal, and thats what it is just a proposal. its left up to the Congress to decide who gets what.

Maybe they'll look at how many post's you have before judging. You'd think (think being the oppritune word) that if someone has over 1000 posts on this site they probably ain't a troll or a democrap lacky - there's yer sign!

The vets always get screwed. What's new with this? Bush is showing his true colors. I though he was good for America. Since I agree that none of the offerings were what I wanted for America, and Bush was republican, I thought he was okay. Wrong again! I wonder if there are any politicos out there who really love freedom and America.
