After firing a lot of factory 9mm rounds in a P-95, the slide appears to open a little too easy and recoil appears to be snappier (with the same ammo) than after the first 1,000 rounds.
I'm wondering if the Recoil Spring should be replaced with a heavy duty version? What do you experts suggest and are there other tune-up items which might need attention?
Will Ruger send me the parts without having to send the pistol in and play the waiting game?
Shouldn't be any problems after only 1,000 rds. Hell, the gun is just now at its optimimum reliability...nice and loosened up...no gun is gonna stay tight as new...I wouldn't want it to.

Mine has about 5000 rounds through it and is still great. A good cleaning every few hundred rounds has kept it working so good I never could find a reason to replace it with a G19.

recoil springs in just about any semi auto handgun need replacing every couple thousand rounds. look in brownell's for springs, ruger might send you a replacement factory standard spring but i kinda doubt it, im sure they'll sell you one though - springs in guns are like tires on cars- you only get 1 set from the factory.
