5906 failure to eject

I bought a S&W 5906 this week, knowing that it had problems ejecting. I cleaned it (using Ed's Original Red), and found lots of baked on gunk. THe chamber was also gunky. I MILDLY dremeled it to get the gunk out, and polished and polished the chamber. I pulled the extractor, which looks ok, and cleaned some more. Still having extraction problems.
To be specific: If I load ONE round in the magazine, it will eject the spent brass, but not all the way necesarily. If I load more than one round, I almost always get a failure to eject. The spent case will be in contact with the nose of the next round, which will be be at the base of the ramp, or about 1/4 inch from being fully seated in the magazine.
I really like the way this thing looks and feels. I can buy a new barrel for it for about $40, but if that's not the problem I've wasted time.
As it stands, I've got a semi-automatic single shot 9 mm pistol.
Never had this kind of problem with my Hi-Point .45.

Limp wrist

I don't think so. I've fired it one-handed and two handed, using the same techniques & stances I do with my .45 & my .22. I've had the shooters at my local range observe me for pointers, and they've never said anything about a limp wrist.
Murtherfore, when I bought it, it was represented to me as having an ejection problem, so I'm inclined to believe it's the weapon itself, not the technique.
