How is the wheather were you live?

It has been raining off and on here all week. I just heard that there was around 80 accidents in the last 24 hours and also a truck hit a car and killed two people. I don't know how many people were fatalities. I am afraid to drive anyway after my series of car accidents, so I never go out or drive when it is raining. I see in California, it is flooding and still raining, and they are having all kinds of trouble, with sink holes and land slides. I guess there are many storms across the nation. Last week was about 70 out and really nice, then this front moved in, another stew day...LOLLL Lady Di

We had a blizzard yesterday but it's melting already. Should be great canoeing weather in a few weeks.

People canoe in the winter months? I thought those rivers were all frozen over, and besides that wouldn't it be to cold to canoe? Lady Di

Welp, the standard around here is 30 - 35 degC not a cloud in the sky, and that humid it's hard to breathe. It's starting to cool down at nights though, when I say cool though I mean we've started using a blanket on the bed now.

Nope, we don't... hence "in a few weeks". Though I must say it's looked like it would be cool scenery to do so with snowy banks and bare trees. Of course we'd need some serious weather gear, including clothing that would keep us warm even in the freezing water.

I do remember one of several "Boy Scout Trips from Hell" where a canoe full of idiots capsized in the winter months on a short trip on a lake. They ended up building a fire on shore. (I wasn't in their boat.)

A little light rain last night (they said we might get snow), clear this AM. Raining late in the afternoon. In the mean time we had a great Presidents day parade. They had a real nice wreath ceremony at the grave of the original tomb of the unknown Revolutionary war soldier in Old Town Alexandria. Talked to a Rev war reenactor for a long time. I'm about ready to go get a rev war flintlock.

Many thanks, NRAJoe!

Well, it's 0600 this morning, and the thermometer outside says it's 60ish!
Saturday morning it was half that! I guess winter's over for us, unless the Canadians send us another Blue Norther!
