yea the same old deal where guys get angry about words on a screen, never could understand it much, Ive only had one tiff with another member and that worked out fine, I geuss its just guys getting a hard on for each other for some reason or another. well I still dont get it, you know I would not want joes job as modulator since you are pretty much damed if you do and damed if you dont, and dale snake, when you guys boogie off for some slight, you are also leaving a lot of other folks that enjoy your posts, and appreciate your knowledge. Most of the sparks I see fly are in the political arena of thought, and my opinion is if you are going to delve into discussions of that sort you should have a thick hide since its gonna get nasty. The general purpose of the room is for gun knowledge, and I have learned an amazing amount of stuff since Ive been around these 3 years, and I just hate it when guys leave for things that are assumed as personal insults,maybe thats just me but Im pretty much impervious to what people are tryng to slight me about either because im to stupid to realize it or I just dont really give a rats as about what others think of me, but at the same tiime I try not to step on others toes that are sensitive. So maybe when everyone wants to vent thier zeal, just direct it at me, you know --7mm you stupid sob jar headed scum sucking insensetive !!!!!!!, that will filter through my bullshiit filter as blah blah blah. you blah blah sob, and everyone will be happy, and Ill enjoy your abuse, and everyone will feel better. You are 100% correct though about the politics and hurt feelings. No sense in getting pissed off about it. Yeah, there will always be people in a persons life that you may never agree with. Just deal with it.

well I just think that people take things to literally, this is a forum for gun owners, and just by implication, most of us are a a little rough around the edges, goes with the territory, most of the stuff is just that ox crap, trash talk, sort of like kids on the playground, I ignore the trash talk, some of its funny though, and the sun comes up manana, I take a crap, and I dont loose sleep over stuff, Chris and Jesse have been very kind over the years to allow people to say what they want to( within reason) but the facts are lots of us are ex-military or gun folks, and the furs gonna fly sometimes but no one should let that get to them, I mean hell, Ive been called every name in the book, whats a little as I see it good natured ribbing, or trash talk,oh well

But there's plenty more stories by members which are interesting, too. So why can't people get along?
Got a suggestion on this issue. Been thinking about it throughout the night. First, I don't like reading all this arguing and name calling BS on G&G so I'm suggesting there's a better way to handle the matter which is as close to the top of the G&G screen. It's called CHAT. My recommendation is to schedule a time when the combatant's??? show up on CHAT and can discuss their issues one on one, or on the open chat screen. This allows for instant response, keeps it off the G&G board, which is there for the world to view. I don't believe in airing personal battles in public. I would bet that their differences could be resolved peacefully on CHAT. Otherwise, go to a P.M. We've had cases before when P.M. seemed to do the trick, too.
Ok. tell me I'm nuts for suggesting the above approach...but something's got to give. These BS comments have got to stop because they're ruining the fun of being on G&G. Jesse and Chris have a right to expect more from their members for the services they provide for free. :right:
