Question New Vaquero

Has anyone had their hands on the New Vaquero yet?
Is the grip frame *really* the old one reborn? Gods, how I hope so!

I'll be grabbing one in .45 Colt w/ 4 5/8" brl. as soon as possible. (Model #NV 44)

If anyone sees one on the market please post the price. I know what the MSRP is, but I'd like to get a feel for what the real world is paying.

Thanks!

I haven't personally, but I have to say those Vaqueros are very nice pieces indeed. I don't believe you would go wrong that route. Keep us posted when you finally do get it out.
O and welcome to G&G Omar :right: Stick around, there are some knowledgeable shooters here that are a lot of fun to shoot the bull with.

Vaquero

I've got an old Model 4 5/8 in .45 LC. very strong, but had to send it back for windage adjustment (turning barrel). I don't think that the New Model can handle the heavier loads.

Cool Got one!

Well, I've got my NV44... A 4 5/8 inch, .45Colt Ruger New Vaquero.

It *IS* everything they have made it out to be and much more!!! This is the finest Ruger handgun ever. Handsdown. What's more, it shoots even better than it looks!

True, it won't handle the enormous loads that a Blackhawk or the older Vaqueros will, but then it wasn't designed to do so. It will still handle a stiff enough load to handle 95% + of any shooter's needs.

Excuse me while I head BACK to the range!
