The new 45?

So what is the deal with the new 45? I know it has a few upgrades but is it really that worth while. by the way the grip texture feels like a Keltek.

I havn't shot it yet but my buddy is about to purchase one. It is supposed to be the best auto ruger has made to date. I'll keep my kimber! I havn't found a ruger centerfire auto that I've liked yet.

I had the sales clerk strip it for me, and I wasn't impressed. Steel slide rides along polymer rails as far as I can tell. The slide is huge and the grip small. The loaded chamber indicator sticks up like a huge flag. Worse thing is it's a single stack, but doesn't use any existing mags. If they're going to make a new mag for a huge pistol, why not make it a double stack? As it is there's a huge clunky slide on a teenie weenie grip.

BRG - 2 words "CA legal". Rugers plan seems to be to change the laws as much to their advantage as they can, incorporate those "features" and dominate the market. Eventually the Brady brigade will get similar or worse laws passed in other states - who will be making those complaint guns then ? Stay away from Ruger.
