How would you like this in you neighborhood

Some DC residents have a new attraction in thier neighborhoods -- wonder how many people are going to try and part it out

Wonder if the cells are actually loaded? Might be a decoy to bluff the Jihadists.

Anyone remember the old Nike missile batteries back in the early 'Cold War' years? Some of those were in parks and other civilian areas.

I remember a buddy in the A.F. telling me about the Missles in WY that he would have to go out to on a moments notice and have to disable as they were trying to launch themselves

The local news had this story about a week ago. A few people are upset about the missles. But most people understand why they are there. The only big request seems to be to have the government camofluage the missiles, so that the local kids won't get scared. But having said that the local kids have been looking at the missles since last Novemeber. If they aren't scared yet, I doubt they will be.

Yep We (Charles County Gov't) have been caretakers for the property that use to house the missiles.

There was a Nike Missile "silo" outside my home town in southeastern Kansas near Latham. Would have made a great July 4th rocket to watch.

I know of a guy that has one of those cannons with like a 4 foot barrel. mounted on a carriage and everything. This cannon is at his cottage and he fires it off every morning. I want one of those missile launchers and i'll let fly in the morning with it. That oughta frost his shorts a little.

Talking "Um....I use it fer duck huntin' Mr.Fed..."

Each warhead would require a $200 tax stamp for destructive devices, I'm not sure if the launcher would be classified as a firearm or destructive device. Either way I'm sure the gummit would "protect" us from owning such a thing.
