Thumbs up Pulli'n the trigger about 2000 times!

Went on our "break out of winter shoot" with my Dad & Brother.

We went through approx 2000 rounds including .22's. After we got the big booms out of our systems the .22's came out. Guys, the .22 will never die. It's just too fun!!!!!!! We were smacking golf balls at the 125 yard mark, shooting shotgun shells off cardboard boxes at 50 yards. (of course we had to dial in on these targets )

I shot my brothers SIG 220 and was very impressed on how it cycled my light 200 grain handloads. What a great pistol! I learned something cool about my brother's HK 9mm. Slap the mag in hard and the action closes. Pretty cool.

Shot my dad's .44 Blackhawk, a few times. (ouch) The Yugo SKS and AR were big hits with Dad. My brother said Dad looked like a "big kid" LOL.

Shot my slug barrel for the 870. Good to go. Need to raise the impact a bit. It's an older slug BBL with the common slotted screw in the elevation ramp. I need to get an allan screw in there. the slot screw is wollered out. I didn't push the issue at the range.

My brother put a red dot on his Browning Buckmark. VERY COOL! I had a hard time hanging with him with the iron sight Ruger. He had me at about a 3:1 hit ratio on cans and golf balls. I hung pretty good for iron sights though. I tried to make you all proud.

It was cool seeing the .22 bullet pass the arch at the 125 yard line with the Ruger bolt gun with 12X scope. You had to aim about 10" above one of the white target sheets to see it though.

My stock 10/22 w/ weaver 4x hung with brother's tricked out 10/22 he he same scope set up, no adjustments on that gun since '89

Fired up the Rem 700 .308. Need say more? I love that gun! I did notice the 150 grain reloads shot softer or should I say less violent than the 130 grainers. The 150's rock. You can actually get the bullet depth right on a reload. To make minimun on the 130's the bullet is set too far back from the lands IMO.

Looks like the shooting fest I had this last Sat with the girlfriend -- I think I corrupted her she fired the AR and wanted a bigger cal. I upgraded her to the cetme and she loved it and wanted bigger so she fired the Garand and then wanted bigger all I have left at the time was a #4 enfield and she did great. This girl can shoot never left the 9 ring on a single target

Oh now Joe would like her she asked me for an AK this morning

Mandy she still couldn't outshoot me as I usually group my shots in a nice 1/4 " leaf - but she came close with nice strings

:right: Sounds awesome Jerry. I wish I could have been there. I think all our trigger fingers are itching to get out of winter.
And I agree, the 22 will not die out. Ever. I love the new 17's but 22's are cheap, accurate, and fun as anything.
Good shooting to you.

You guys are gett'in my shoot'in fever up to a high fever. Guess I should head north to the farm area where I shoot and do a little "break out of winter", too.

And, actually, cleaning the guns can be fun. There's nothing like getting to hold and rub your babies giving them a little TLC.
