Smith 7 round 586 in .357, stainless, 4 inch barrel, red ramp front, white "U" rear, adjustable.
That is my opinion, and I stick by it. I don't own one, but I've shot plenty. That is one I would put between my family and danger any day of the week.
I used to have a S&W model 65 .357...3 inch barrel..stainless steel..sold it because it was getting too loose after years of hard shooting :target: I thought it was perfect..been looking for a suitable replacement..thinking about a S&W model 66 with a 4 inch barrel
Hoestly, I wouldn't know - the best and most comfortable revolver I've ever shot was a Rossi .32 - it was fairly accurate and was a natural point shooter...I liked it, but .32 doesn't cut it for me.
