| Senior Member | Shaun - I agree with you. She took off on her own, others notified the police, and maybe they should pay the bills. I understood that it was only just before she turned herself over to the NM Police, that she told her boyfriend she was abducted, so she didn't start the manhunt that ensued after her disappearance, others did that. I agree that she should have acted like an adult and told her fiancee, or parents or somebody, that she was getting cold feet and needed time to think. I think it is a miscarriage of justice to prosecute her, and spend more public money out of spite! Enough public money has already been spent on this issue. ` |

It is my understanding that the 911 call came after she saw the mess she had created. She just didn't call her BF and say help I'm kidnapped. Again the only law broken was making a false report to LE. | |

| Registered User | Hi ya'll--as a card-carrying member of the female race, I am ashamed to call her a part of my group. This was pre-meditated, she had already bought the bus ticket and cut her hair so no-one would recognize her........this was planned ahead of time......she deserves to be prosecuted....poor little rich girl, 600 hundred wedding guests and a fiance with LOTS of money, she had a whole bunch of anxiety, yeah-right..someone needs to stomp the living dog-crap out of that broad..she'll grow up real quick in jail......I'm so angry at the fact that all of those LEO's spent all of that time and the resources to try to find her when she's planned the entire senario from the start. If she goes totally scot-free what kind of message does that send? Please, our men and women in law enforcement have better things to do that deal with spoiled brats that have nothing better to do with their time. Thanks for listening. |

| Senior Member | The whole thing is getting more publicity than it merits. She wasted time and money. She broke the law. Punish her to the extent that the law prescribes, but for God's sake stop giving her all the publicity. That is what is getting her off. What's the bet if she gets off scott-free on this one, she will pull another stunt like this a in a few years' time?
