In theory

Ok There are alot of former LEO's out there, so I want your opinion as well as others, on this topic. This is an "in theory" discussion only. I am not advocating this in anyway!

If you shoot a person in your house because you believed you or someone's life was in danger; should you place a blunt object, or other item in the perp's hand to further justify your shooting before the cops get there. Doing this so as to keep an overzealous DA of further making your life miserable.

I am not advocating shooting someone in the act of B/E and then putting something in there hands so as to get away with an unjustified shooting; but more or less intentional shooting of a perp who you thought was armed or led you to believe he was armed in the way he moved or spoke. I know there are some rules of engagement that determines a justified homicide verses a wrongful death.

An example of what I am referring to is a lady who had a restraining order on a man who repeatedly beat her. he came one day to her house and started attacking her again. She managed to get a gun and shoot him several times. while the cops were called neighbors gathered round him and it is reported that they held guns on the guy while he laid there dying. The cops arrested her for shooting him. I do not know what happened to her. I am sure she was released after the investigation was done or aquitted of any wrongdoing.

AS FAR AS I UNDERSTAND IT IS A JUSTIFIABLE SHOOTING IF YOU TELL THE PERP TO STOP IF THEY ARE COMING TOWARD YOU IN A MENACING MANNER. IF THEY KEEP COMING TOWARD YOU AFTER YOU TELL THEM TO STOP,PULL THE TRIGGER. IT DOESN'T MATTER IF THEIR ARMED OR NOT, THEY INTEND TO DO YOU BODILY HARM. IF IT MAKES YOU FEEL BETTER SAY WHEN YOU TOLD THEM TO STOP THEY SAID "I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!" IT'S YOUR WORD AGAINST A DEAD MANS.

I have spoken with a couple of D.A.'s in the past and many people will tell you the same thing when LEO's respond to your home or the site of a self defnese shooting all you need to ask for is your attorney whether you are in the right or the wrong . This can protect you against civil suits from the BG's family
