I'm liable to be the next on cyber parole but I have to ask a simple question:

Is putting anyone on on suspension because they speak their piece worth the price of members bailing out and putting out bad press?

I agreed, in another thread, that Jesse has the right to decide what language (profanity) can and cannot be used in here. But I wonder if someone like Rufus or Papa G or one of us expresses their opinions and uses NORMAL and accepted elsewhere language why slap them??????????

Are we not sending a message to others (even younger ones) it's OK to show anger and axe some one than it is to be tolerant of others?

I dunno......this might be my last post, too.

If so, que serra serra (did I spell that right??????? LOL)

I get so tired of having fun with a group of people and seeing their opinions and the rights by which they express them monitored or controlled so tightly that it becomes stangling to others as well.

I guess it would be different if the admin or moderators stepped forward and said, "Member (insert name) has been placed on probation for ____________(reason)__________. I say that to keep from rumors or speculation to a minimum."

As it is we can sit around all day long and guess what happened and IF we're next.

I suspect I am, LOL.

(please note there is no cussing or profanity in this post...just an opinion).

Dale,

I am just speculating myself, I don't think it is the difference of opinion that causes members to be banned. I think it is when members cross over from an intelligent ADULT discussion into childish name-calling. I for one have grown tired of the constant bickering. I don't PM or email Jesse, when I see these threads I just don't read them or respond to them.

I haven't been here long but it's clear that Rufus and Logansdad don't like each other and never miss an opportunity to get a dig in on each other. I've seen a post where they were both warned about it but I guess it didn't do any good. I think tempers get a lil short in here sometimes because people are passionate about what they believe and I'm like Dale. I hate to see people censored but when it gets out of hand and pettiness takes over passion then maybe it's the right thing to do for the rest of us. This is without a doubt the best gun forum I've seen. everybody comes in and posts almost every day, if a question is asked it usually gets a quick response no matter how trivial and or idiotic it may be. (I refer to my own with that statement) I hate to see anyone banned but sometimes moderators gotta do what they gotta do.
Just my 2 cents, take it for what it's worth.

rebel727- it's a shame that LD and Ruf couldn't bury it before it came to this. Ruf makes for colorful conversation and i have spent many hours reading excellent posts from LD. i miss the both of them. i hope they both come back after the vacation is done. as for your comment on trivial or idiotic questions. i have asked my fair share that is for certain. i have bored the members to tears with asking for opinions of guns that i am interested in and questions about reloading. IMO, the only stupid question is one that doesn't get asked.

With me it's more my answers than the questions. I think I know something and say it, then somebody comes along that really knows and I feel like an idiot. or I miss the point of the question altogether. But I've learned to keep my mouth shut where original condition milsurps (especially Mausers) are concerned cuz I finally realized I don't know squat about them.

I really like them both, but to be objective, I've to say that they were warned and they kept the grudge going so they got it after a warning was done.

I wish they can put aside their diferences and be friends like tommy and 1* did in the past.
If they hate each other so much, just put each other in the ignore list and move along.

I'm not taking sides in this one since I really like them both and would like to meet them personally some time.

LD has been banned before, temporarily of course. This is not a huge deal and I'm sure they'll both be back.
