No it was a student and a CFI so the CFI should have had the rules down -- I heard they lost the radio's and they may have been lost -- something tells me they forgot the other part of planning called looking at the charts and using ground reference check out the story at www.aopa.org they landed at the home field of the association.
One cessna can put D.C. to it's knees. These people would fall dead where they stood if it were thousands of B-17's. I'm surprised the sky was'nt filled with flak.
Thrawn the specs on the 150 it only has a 90hp engine and is mostly aluminum max speed of 90 knots (100mph) oh and I think loaded weight is just under 2k lbs -- if this had hit a building it would have been like a beer can under your foot and just compressed into nothing
