Unhappy Betcha our founding fathers are rolling in thier graves.

Alot of my friends are the dude on the right, thinking they are the dude on the left, they cry about everything from taxes to restrictive laws, all the while sitting in front of the tv watching stupid sitcoms that drain their intelligence. I'm far from being being Patrick Henry, but I at least complain to the politicians that represent me. I spend so much time at the range that i'm thinking of claiming my AK and SKS as dependents. I try to "wake" up my buddies and get them to the range and interested in politics, but it's slow going. Every day since i've "woken" up (about four years) i've noticed our country and way of life steadily degrade and alot of people pay no mind. As long as they get some of thier money back at the end of the year, have a full belly, gummit lets them keep shotguns, have a walmart to shop at, feel "safe", and a tv to watch.

Here's what happened when I offered to help buy a rifle for a friend.
Me: "Hey why don't you buy a rifle and go to the range with me?"
Buddy: " Nah, guns are so expensive these days, besides I already have a .40 Berretta."
Me: "I can help you buy a rifle, local hardware store has sks's for under 200.00."
Buddy: "Nah, then I'll have to keep buying ammo all the time."

And when I GAVE another friend a .22 rifle.
Me: " want to go shooting?"
Buddy: "Don't have any ammo."
Me: "Just bought a brick."
Buddy: "I dunno, it's hot out and there's a movie coming on that I want to see."

What really burns my biscuits is when a coworker I know complains about the gummit and then states: "That's why I don't vote."

Sad. Someone should draw a similar cartoon of life in San Francisco - all the rough n tough frontiersmen & vigilantes (then) & a married gay couple outside the courthouse next to signs that say "Guns are evil" (now).

being gay doesn't nesisarily mean one is against firearm ownership.
