Kids Westerns

back in my day there were lots of westerns geared for the younger audience. good guys wore white hats, bad guys black hats. lots of horse action.

so is there anything today, that mimics the good old days???with lots of horse action??? my 10 year old horse nut would appreciate it.

Old Western Movies

The Western channel runs them all the time (in, fact, nothing but!). LOTS of Gene Autrey and all the others I used to go see on Saturdays. Now and then they'll even get one of the old siilent movies on; I saw The Great Train Robbery (which they said was the very first western movie filmed) with Tom Mix.

We get this on Channel 640 here, but I guess that w/change from one place to another. They're out there...good luck finding them.

I have a 10 yr old horse nut. The only thing she's found is "The Saddle Club" a bunch of snobby little english saddle kids. Drives me nuts. daughter agrees, only watches it for the horses.

I was somewhat surprised at Walamrt a couple days ago, the Lone Ranger series on CD (3 episodes per disc) was on sale for $1.00 per disc. Bought the only three they had.

AutrEy???

I can't believe I misspelled Gene Autry's last name! I've had the western channel on most of the day, looking in on some of the oldies now and then.
