A friend of mine just lost his dog last week. I saw the poor guy a couple days before. He had congestive heart failure, and had trouble getting up and walking. Looked pretty gaunt too. I remember when they got him, and many fond memories with him and the other dogs there. As sad as it is to lose him, though, I'm glad he's no longer in pain.

Whirlwind, I am really sorry for your loss. All I can say is that my boy (Mip-Mip) is gambolling about with Buddy right now, and one day when you cross the river Styx, ol' Buddy will be in the gondola waiting to ferry you accross.

shaun said exactly what i was thinking... condolences, i lost 1 dog, then had one got killed and his body dug up... long story but i know how your feeling.. just remember the good times.. itll take a while to feel better, but go for another dog eventually. last one i lost made me appreciate the one i have now a WHOLE lot more
