what i did with my birthday money

i saw it at the Army Navy and couldn't resist. i always wanted a trench knife, and i suppose this is close enough. the whole thing is made from two pieces of metal, one forged(or possibly stamped) Stainless steel blade, and the metal handle which was made from a mold, i think it might be iron, because it feels like cast iron. but i don't know. the blade is a little over five inches(12cm) in length, and the overall knife is almost ten inches(although it's exactly 24 cm).

i especially like the sheath it came with. it's a plastic sheath that really holds the blade in it, and a nylon outer portion that holds the sheath, and lets you mountit on a beld, or whatever. i'm gonna modify it to attach to MOLLE panels.

i like it, which is high praise.

so, it goes into my collection alongside my three other favorite knives;

Gunnie, try using a small magnet on the handle - it'll prove if it's iron/steel or non-ferrous metal.

The original WWI trenchers were brass hilted but they didn't look quite like that.
