Taurus 651 CIA snub 2"

I have a Taurus model 651 with a hammer that
can be cocked but is in a rounded shroud. I don't
know what to call this but it looks like it is suppossed
to prevent hammer snags. The gun is a revolver

The gun is chambered in .357 and has a 2" barrel.

It fits in my pocket and is somewhat concealed if I
stuff toilet paper or paper towels in my pocket to
minimize the appearance of the gun. It then just looks
like I've got a bunch of stuff in my pocket.

The annoying thing is that the barrel was not screwed
on perfectly at the time of manufacture and the front
sight dosen't align just right with the back sights.
The .38's shoot pretty accurately, but I have trouble
getting the .357's anywhere close to where I want them
to go. I've fired a total of 50 .357's and 150 .38's through
this revolver.

I think if I send the gun in, Taurus will say that the barrel
is screwed on straight even though it isn't really under some
"acceptable tolerance" standards or something Taurus has
set out.

I've considered selling it and getting a small sized 9mm or
.380 in its place, but have also considered taking it to a
gunsmith to get the barrel screwed on differently.

I appreciate any opinions.

Exclamation

S&W's version of that was nicknamed the "Humpback" but I believe S&W called it the Bodyguard

if it's still under warranty I'd send it in. If it's not any good gunsmith can fix it up in short order.

Taurus is a pretty good outfit to deal with these days. Seems to me it's worth the cost of a phone call to ask.

I'm gonna send it in once I figure out how much it costs to
ship it. If they don't do what I want, I just won't buy anything
else from them. In the future I'll watch out for stuff that's
"on sale." Thanks for the advice.
