I must admit there is something to what they are saying. We just got a new computer system installed in the hospital where I work. It is called Lawson, don't know if any of you know it, been around a while. The blacks seem to have the worst time with it. Yes, it is complicated and does not use time wisely. But, we have it and we may as well get used to it. those who accepted the kick-backs for the purchase of this system invisaioned that the nurses would use it to order stuff and the orders would be charged to the various departments and life was suposedly, going to be easier for us. But, the nurses have gotten away with so much, for so long, they just don't do what is expected. and, no one objects so the hospital is stuck with a huge white elephant that no one uses except the folks in supply. How do I know it is only blacks who have problems? Well, for one thing, i saw how they acted in the school we went to. they were, for lack of a better term, dazed and confused most of the time. In my job, the blacks make so many mistakes, it takes a crew of five to correct these mistakes during free time. Even if one knows the number of the item and, one knows the department codes, it still takes three to five times as long to debit a charge as the old system did (esi). So yes, i can see what the guy is saying but, in all honesty, almost anyone can be trained to use the system, it just is a slow process to use. I'm sure the plant equipment is not so hard to operate that someone cannot be trained. It is my opinion, we don't buy toyotas and maybe he will reconsider his hurtful/disparaging remarks.

Rufus what the heck are you talking about? This statement is racist. You really expect to me to believe that every black person at your work has trouble operating the new system, and they are incapable of understanding it? Your statement that the blacks can screw something up so bad that it takes five people to fix is absurd! I think you need to rethink this post.

allen i'm sure he was talking in general and out of frustration, yes it did sound bad. and Ruf old budy i can feel your pain. the plane truth of the matter is education and that SOME not all but SOME minoritys and others are getting out of the schools and don't know anything or just refuse to put forth the effort to learn new things. its the "new american way" avoid change and complain about how hard it is and someone will come along and make it easier or do away with it. started all the way back to when i was in school, (just look at my spelling) i am now working on my third degree (this one in Biomedical equipment technology) and still can't spell. I think the school system failed in my case, push push push. they just want you out to make room for the new kids.

I know this was a long time ago but back in 69 when integration was forced on my school. I was in the sixth grade. The blacks that were in my class couldn't read or even write their own name. I kid you not. They were used to being passed whether they did any work or not. I'm sure things are somewhat different now but you should come down here and look around at who lives on welfare and drives Cadillacs and Navigators and who doesn't.

Okay, I have rethought my post, as you directed me. What is my reality is not real. Because it is not PC to admit it, therefore it does not exist. And likewise, "grade curving" (as mentioned by Rebel727) was never really a fact or used nor, was it ever policy to give certain folks a better grade that the grade they actualy made on tests. These are none-PC truths that are just not talked about, and, therefore, they never happened nor do they exist. I am sorry you thought my post to be racist. I will be more careful in the future. Even I will admit, that sometimes, the truth can hurt or be used to make a point.....provided it's PC, of course. Otherwise, it's not the truth and never happened........

Partially correct. For a refresher course, ask Rave to re-tell the story of westinghouse. since the story is not mine, i feel odd telling someone else's story.

they build there plants out in the middle of nowhere rural america, and then wonder why the farm boys never had training in trig or blueprint reading or CNC operation.(quoted takin from Bob)

they can pay someone a cheaper rate of pay if they build the plant in the middle of a small town tather than build it in the middle of a large city.but you get alot of dummies when you do.

And as for all being such gun lovers, their laws certainly don't reflect it,don't they have free elections up there?
Though the great majority seems to suck, I must admit, for all the drawbacks associated with them, when they were in power, my area was a lot nicer. Now they (the management) allow vermin of every discription to move in. Some are barely civalized (word used in the loosest of terms) and once, I even saw one piece of vermin urinating in the yard! This may be acceptable behaviour in your neck of the woods, or, on the prarie or in mexico, but in America, it is a criminal offense to expose yourself in the presance of others (ie. outside a rest room).
But, as it was explained to me, if you lie with dogs, you will catch fleas.

Rave, kinda sorta addressing your post

not sure what or how the gun part refers to us being a good or a bad people. i say it is absolutely impossible that all, or nearly all the Canuks you have met are aholes. i dont believe that for a second. i guess that isn't any different than when i hear some of our panywaist style canadians accusing all americans of being gun happy, redneck, war makers. that is just the desperate talk of people speaking for the sake of making noise. as for me being PC, cause i dont come across in my posts in a way that is designed to piss on other folks, that is a problem? if there are two ways of saying something and one is less combative, i will choose it. that is just out of decency. if you dont like my style, we can get into it and it'll get harsh, and stupid. as for my canadian government, yeah i am less than happy with it. and just cause i called you a hippocrite, that puts me on a high horse? all this thread has turned into is a bash canada party, and that is rediculous. if you really have developed such a problem with my posts, hit the ingnore button, and your problems are over.
