Oxford, that’s about as close to home as it gets. Fortunately, I haven’t been hit like that. I did lose a close friend to cancer a few years ago. All those hospital visits were surely sobering. The last few years I have done philanthropy bike-rides to raise money for the Jimmy Fund and cancer research. (100-miles/day for 1 or 2 days, since you brought up mileage). Although I’ve already ridden it, The Prouty was a century ride I did a few weeks ago. If anyone feels like donating, they’re accepting donation online here: http://www.theprouty.kintera.org/faf...15&e=310961106 Back to Lance- LogansDad, it’s inevitable that someday it will be broken; it’s only the progress of sport. However, it will be a very long time. The Tour has been around for about 100 years, and there have only been three other people to win a total of five Tours – Lance won seven in a row! I’m pretty sure this is another record, but this year the Yellow Jersey was held by Americans (not necessarily Lance) for every stage but one! :right: |
