handgun actions?

I'm thinking of buying a single shot pistol. But i can't decide which action to get,
break action or rotary breech. The only handgun with a rotary breech is lone eagle or the competitor. And the only break action handgun i know of is the ones from thompson contender arms. Are these the only handguns with these actions?

The new models are a lot more versatile than the older ones. Makes me want to buy one. "Guns and Ammo TV" had some great reviews of the newer Thompsons.

Would you rather break it open with a lever or twist and pull out a part of it?

You have to pull a part of the rotary breech to reload it? Hmm, i'd rather get a thompson pistol now. Now just 2 things to be solved.
1.)I'm getting a .444 marlin thompson pistol without a muzzle brake (i think there for weaklings), will it literally breath fire? :flame:
2.)Whats the difference between a heavy pistol barrel and a bull barrel, is it that the bull barrel is tapered?

There are also bolt-action pistols. Check out the Savage Striker and the Remington XP-100.

The only real advantage of the Contender is the easy changing of barrels for different calibers.

I am anything but an authority on single shot pistols so my description of its loading may be poor. Bull barrel generally means VERY thick and untapered. Heavy barrels mean heavier than the normal barrel, which can basically mean anything. A heavy barreled AR-15 is thick from the chamber to the gas block, then a smaller diameter to accomodate a standard front site. Standard barrels I think are turned down under the handguards. Bull barrels are extremely thick the whole way down and need their own size of gas block.
