new receiver cover w/scope....?

hi all, i bought a scope and new receiver cover from 'centerfire' because i didn t want to tap the original cover. It fit good on my yugo but i had to use a brass hammer for my chinese. I want to keep it on my chinese. i used vernier calipers and other tools and it measures the same as the chinese cover. Why did it go on so hard ? I shot 160 rounds threw it sunday and all was well. but it was extremely difficult to remove . Any ideas why? It measures exact. thanks all

Likely the little prongs up front, that's usually the cause of the receiver cover scope mounts going on tight. The tighter it goes on though, the better, except for disassembly.

Therefore, there must be a finite number of inhabited worlds. Any finite number divided by infinity is as near to nothing as makes no odds, so the average population of the Universe can be said to be zero. From this it follows that any people you meet from time to time are merely the product of a deranged imagination.
