Those numbers are from Federal's website. I chose the 44 Mag rifle selection.

Federal Premium - Rifle Details

My next rifle will be a .44 magnum handi-rifle. I am going to top it with a 1.5-4 x 20 mm scope.. Should be hell on hogs and deer in thick stuff

I handload but buffalo Bore and corbon make some really stiff high performance .44 loads for hunting.

I am of the opinion that once you get to a certain point, at least when it comes to deer, the extra power becomes wasted energy. The .445 SuperMag is capable of doing anything the .454 Casull can do with a 300gr bullet. In a carbine barrel, the .357 Maximum with a 180gr Hornady SSP can equal the .35 Remington.
If someone would ever come out with a lever-action chambered in the SuperMag family of cartridges, .357 .375 .414 .445, they wouldn't be able to make enough of them. Ok, the .375 is a stretch since it doesn't have a shorter magnum sibling.

I had a Winchester 94 Trapper in .44 mag. Selling it was not a good thing to do. .44 in a short handy rifle is just great. Have fun with it

Have anieghbor that hunts at our hunting camp. He kills just as many deer with his 44 mag Marlin lever as I do with my Browning BLR .243. Like others have said, he chooses to reload for his, I REALLY like the thoughts of a Golden Boy Henry lever in 44mag.

A few guys hit on the idea of having a pistol and a rifle in the same caliber. I used to have a Trapper in 44. I used to sit in the stand with my Ruger SBH 44 with 7 1/2" bbl. Then spot and stock whitetails in the trees with my Trapper. I used reloads that worked well in either.
