I'm looking for names and places (articles), links work best.
I'd like to hear about children, well youths (under 18)
using guns to defend themselves and their family

Several years ago in San Antonio a young boy around 10-11 yrs old shot and killed his mom's boyfriend who was trying to kill her with a piece of firewood. The mother screamed for help and the son ran into the bedroom and grabbed a pistol from the nightstand and shot the boyfriend in the back. I'll try to find a link but it is a pretty old story.

If a child is well trained and knows safety rules, as some do....I got no problem with children and guns. I was only 12 when i got my first rifle.

Something that deals with joint locks and pressure points...It works for my daughter with....let's see......what color is her hair this week anyways.......

did this for a research apper on gun control just a few weeks ago. The top is specifically what you asked for. I know i saw several others, but dont remember exactly where. Remembered this one and i'll post others if i find them again.

I don't think Vermont has any case law on the subject, can't find any age requirement for carry. If a kid wants to carry a pistol, he can carry.
