Which model is yours, Rufus? My Hyundai Elantra is a MID-SIZE car and managed 42mpg on my last road trip, and that involved crossing the Apallachian Mountains. Did that by locking the cruise at 60mph. Payload included two young ladies and gear for a weekend.
they cost much more to buy. My kia car is the bottom line rio. small 4 cylinder with 5 speed and air, pwr brakes, steering and a/c. if the engine is running, the a/c is on! it's hot here in the third world of florida. crusing speed is between 75-85mph depending on traffic. the traffic is also moveing at those rates hence, the 10mph flux. generally just me in the car. driveing is 90% highway/interstate. Did I win? :lucky:

My girlfriend and I drove accross the state to visit friends. A YOUTH MINISTER and his family. They accomodated us wonderfully... two floors apart.

We dropped her roommate off half way to visit her folks.

Why the very idea! That an Elantra owner would have even the suggestion of an impure thought! Shame on all of you.

Yesterday...in K.C, MO...$2.799 minus the 20 cents discount per gallon due to food purchases at Hy Vee store. So $2.599 is better than the $3.189 I saw about a week ago. The price is going the right direction but needs to go down about another doller per gallon.
