Nope.

Why buy a pistol with a history of being not only unreliable, but of biting the hand that shoots it?

If you just want a pretty, expensive pistol like James Bond preferred then go for it.

But if you want a pistol that has a reputation for reliability and will NOT give you slide bite then buy the Bersa Thunder 380. Or for that matter, buy 2 Bersa Thunder 380's and a holster or two for about the same amount of money.

Check out www.GunBlast.com for their test of the Bersa Thunder 380. (archived tests section) You can also go to the www.BersaTalk.com website and get all sorts of information about the fine line of Bersa/Firestorm firearms.

I'm not anti-Walther, as I have a sweet P1 (surplus) that I love. (Also several years ago I had a PP) But in years past when I wanted a PPK, just because, I was continually turned off by it's price, slide bite, and reliability problem.

I know not every PPK is crap, as some people post that they have a wonderful, accurate PPK that will feed anything with 100% reliability.. Only problem is, for every satisfied PPK owner it seems there are 20 dissatisfied owners.

Get yourself an IMPROVED PPK... Get a Bersa..

Best Wishes,

JP

Great! And I'm happy as a clam that you are satisfied with it. Hope it continues to give you good service. And the only person who has to be satisfied with the PPK is YOU....

Best Wishes,

JP

IIRC the Beretta that Bond had was the model 418 in 25acp. I have one of those(actually it's the wife's) and it has been superbly reliable.

But to answer the original question, no. I'd rather carry a J-frame Smith and if I must carry an auto it would likely be a Makarov.
