I recently procured my fourth handgun, a USP Compact that takes .45 Auto. I've also owned the full-size USP, same cartridge, and loved it. This compact is used, but someone took extremely good care of it. The barrel is pristine, and the black finish is barely worn at all. The polymer frame is almost devoid of scratches or dings. It has a very "concise" feel to it, which I guess is what happens when you take the features of a full-size USP and basically make the thing smaller. I got this gun mainly for concealed carry, which the compact really lends itself to more than its bigger brother, lol. It's not as small as a lot of small-frame handguns, but it's one of the relative few that fires .45 ACP rounds, which I'm partial to for impractical reasons. That, and I just have a thing for HK.
I've not fired this gun yet, but I know somewhat what to expect due to my past experience with the Standard USP. I'm expecting a bit more recoil, but not a very surprising difference.
