Okay, I think I have re-discovered how to show pictures.
We left for McHenry Mississippi on Sunday, 9/18 right after church, and returned to Woodstock, Georgia (cultural center of the universe) on Friday, September 23.
This is a shot of the front of McHenry 1st Baptist Church, who hosted us. They got a good bit of roof damage, but they were sending out repair crews to other locations before their stuff got fixed.
They sent us out on three jobs. Jordan, my oldest (22, and a FINE specimen of Southern manhood) and I (52, and a LARGE specimen of Southern manhood) constituted the entire crew for each job, which was perfect. Three people would have just gotten in each others' way.
This is the first job. Billy Ray and Donna have no income, other than his disability and what she makes doing hair. Katrina moved the beauty shop ( a 12x20 building) 2 feet back, and we put it back up on it's foundations, re-connected the septic line, and installed anchoring straps. The lad on the right is Jordan.
The second site is the Widder Lady's trailer. A Big Honkin Tree had smashed her porch pretty good. Our task was to remove the roof, while preserving as much building material as possible. That's me in the overalls. Before we started work, it looked like this:
I've got more pictures, including The Catfish Head In The Tree, but that's all for now.
