My mother just returned from Houston, she attended the funeral of a cousin (I never knew him). She stayed at one of the Holiday Inns on the edge of the city. The place looked like a pig sty. It was full of refugees from New Orleans. The room my mother and uncle were given had only just been made avialable by a refugee family moving, the walls had splotches of what looked like blood on them, the shower curtin looked like someone wiped themselves with it. The phone cord was gone and the batteries were taken from the remote and the coffee machine was taken. The Hotel compt my mom for the first night and cleaned the room properly. Apparently, according to the manager, the refugees won't let the cleaning staff into the rooms to clean up properly. The refugees are cooking in their rooms and pouring greade down the sinks and toilets and using the toilets as garbage disposals. Whenever the management catches a group doing drugs they kick them out immediately. This is usually followed by a call from the Mayors office wanting to know if the hotel will take the family back. This manager won't anymore. Apprently the hotel is being slowly destroyed.

At all hours there are groups of refugee men hanging around the hotel parking lots and roaming the halls. In addition many of the women and kids are walking around with Ipods and game boys and other electronic stuff. According to the manager it was purchased with the Red Cross credit cards handed out or traded to someone for merchandize.

I told my mom it would be like this when she went down but she didn't believe, then. Thank God my Uncle is a retired cop and carries.

This is going to be a mess that will take years to clean up and we all will be paying for it.

You already know what I think...I dislike waste of my tax dollors! I work very hard and long night hours to get each and everyone of those dollors. A game boy is a sad place to spend what i worked so hard for. proff, positive, no good deed goes unpunished.

looks like all but a couple of trigger fingers are alongside, instead of inside. Of course that's a couple too many.

As my nephew pointed out, looks like these guys have something to defend. There's a lot of money showing in those weapons.

Except for the little woosey golf cart cart it looks a lot like the picture of my brothers and nephews last Thanksgiving. Just add a few rifles to replace the handguns

What? No rifles? I guess since they live in a community of close knit houses that is better off for them anyway. considering the dude with the SP101 with his finger in the trigger guard, and like Troy2000 was saying that is one too many. If you notice, the older guy with his left hand resting on the telephone pole seems to have an auto pointed directly at the camera. Hope it was set up on a time delay instead of manned.

Other than that I like the picture and saved it. it is a Keeper in the BigJake storage of Pics.
Thanks Jesse

That pisture was actually taken at Pearl, Mississippi following Hurricane Katrina.
As far as the condition of the Holiday Inn, that situation existed everywhere the put those animals. I've seen alot of it.
You should experience the !!!! they are raising about the free food and overall accommodations. The good home cooked food is not to their liking, the rooms are not fancy enough, TV screen is too small, swimming pool is not as they like, they demand maid service and throw their !!!!ed chicken bones all over the room. They're pissed off because they are not being handed money by the private organizations who are meeting their every need.
I'm sure there are some liberals here who can offer the rest of us what they consider intelligent justification for the atrocious behavior of the displaced scum.
Have at it.

"No looting in Texas" likely has something to do with the announcement made by Houston's mayor when some jerk reporter asked what he was going to do about looting. Response was quick and to the point, something like" We expect someone may try to take advantage of the situation. They should take note that this is TEXAS, not Louisiana. We do not expect any looting situation to continue for more than a very few minutes at most."
