It fires reliably out of both of my 1911's. Outside of that, 230gr ball is 230gr ball. I usually buy the WalMart winchester white box though.

Yeah if only there was a Walmart around me, surprisingly its like 45 minutes away....I have heard that the coating can cause some problems an guns like Glocks, SIgs, and HKs, Im not sure tho Im looking to keep the cost down so I can go to the range more often.

Man, if Walmart is 45min away, you ought to be able to shoot in the backyard.

Nah Marin County California, Probably the most Anti-Large Corporation Areas I have ever seen. They are anti-walmart,anti-bush,anti-doing anything themselves. Its hellarious. But sucky at the same time cause I enjoy the low low prices of walmart.

I personally try to stay away from Steel cased Laquered ammo like Wolf for my handguns.

Thanks Guys, I had a feeling some people might say that, I googled it as well, and found reports of the laquer gumming the chamber, the steel case expansion not as good as the the brass, causing jams. Things Like that are important factors when choosing a relaible ammunition even if its for practice. Thanks

Buy a couple of boxes and try it for your self. It should'nt cause any problems in the H&K.

It wont run at all in my sons' Sig P-220. Almost every round stovepipes but we can't tell if it's the lacquer causing it or if it just isn't hot enough to overcome the recoil spring pressure. You might want to look @ www.cabelas.com at their bulk ammo section or in Shotgun News as well.

Wolf ammo is some of the dirtiest stuff that I've ever seen. I've never fired any out of my Glock 21, but I've shot some out of my M4. That stuff belched a fireball out of the muzzle like you would not believe. I thought my M4 had morphed into a flame thrower!!!
The laquer on the case baked onto the chamber, and I almost never got it off. Stay away from the stuff. Go to a gun show and buy it in bulk.

Isn't the steel case also harder on your extractor as opposed to the brass?

Maybe I heard wrong, but I'll throw it out there...
