Dragunov Sniper Rifle, Romanian .762 x 54 100% new in box , These sniper rifles are built in Romania & imported into the United States , built in scope rail & 4 x 26 military scope, real wood Dragunov stock set , very accurate & light recoil, 23 inch barrel with built in muzzle brake make this a extremely accurate rifle at long ranges .Ammunition is very plentiful & cheap this unit is a must have for any military rifle collection .Rifle comes 100% new with scope & 10 round mag.
Looking for opinions? This is NOT a real Dragunov, but it is a quality rifle built on the RPK (AK derived) design. Calling it a Dragunov frankly should be prosecuted as false advertising, but it is a good rifle. I think you can do better than that price. Go down a hundredx or so and that's fair retail.

That of course is distributor price. Add $$ for shipping and a transfer fee for your dealer's work in helping you obtain it. So if you see one in person consider that those fees are already paid and factor that into your economics, as well as fuel to find other deals as opposed to the one in front of you. Atlantic's price is particularly high considering it's dealer cost, and that you'd have to pay your fees on top of it.
Basically that a bird in the hand...

Before you buy it check out the dragunov site. I have a russian tiger and I heard of many romanian knock off guns either were inacurate and crack, blow up, etc. I would read up on it before you think about buying one.
I have read no such things, but many positive things about the Romak IIIs. Granted the 308 versions haven't been the best. Any source for your data against them?

The PSL/Romak3/SSG-97's are fine rifles when assembled correctly. The "blow up/crack" comes from using too heavy a bullet in the rifle repeatedly, the action was tuned for 145-150 grain projectiles.
Mine cost me $760 retail and I did have to work on mine to get it 100% reliable but my problems were unique to my build, not the design or overall condition of the rifles available now. Mine with a shortened barrel, 20", can hold 1 1/2" groups @ 100 yards and I can "gong" a welding tank all day @ 400 yards with it.
It's a nice rifle to own, 54R ammo is cheap and plentiful. The .308 version does have plastic magazine problems that come with these type plastic mags. Get one!
Yep, gotta use the lighter ammo.
It's not a "sniper" rifle it's a sharpshooter's rifle.
They are not a "knock off" either, they are great rifles for what they were intended for.
I bought one and it an excellent rifle. I had a problem with it when I kept
seeing iraqi insurgents carrying the !!!! rifles on the news and firing at
Marines Still love the rifle but thinking of getting rid of it......Probably Not...

Hey, those soldiers who get shot at by AKs and variants end up taking them when they shoot the bass tards who shot at them with fine guns but horrible skills. The Romak is made by the Romanians, who are behind us in that war.
