Cherrywood stock on the M1

Some time ago, I bought a rack grade Dane from the CMP. I didn't like the wood on it, and after seeing a post by Jack Stanley and his fine piece, I was hooked. I called Wenig's and they had some "standard" grade cherry lyingh around, so I had them make a chery stock set. I then had them send it of to Dean and I in turn sent him the M1. After a long wait, I finally got the knock on the door from Mr. Brown representing UPS.

On a scale of 1-10, I think that its a 9. I am very happy with the quality of the wood, the grain for a standard grade is very nice. However, I guess I thought that it was going to be a darker shade of like a cherry- maroon color. Mine is like a light to medium color tan. Maybe its because the type of cherry was differant from Jack's.

I had him repark it, he put on a Criterion barrel, and fit and refinished the stock set. Her are some pics-

Your input is greatly appreciated.......
