That was great, my love for flying would out weigh the fact that they had to burn 100LL in those big Pratt&Whitneys. The only B17 I ever got to look at closely and go in was the one we had at the Bradley Air Museum in Windsor Locks, Ct. That one was the flying test bed for the Turbo Prop that went into the C130 Hercules. They have pictures of that B17 flying on the turbo prop in the nose with all four radials shut down and feathered. "Life is too important to be taken seriously."
