Folks have tended to say you can't blow a modern firearm with black powder. Wonder if this is true of shotguns? In which case, I was thinking in terms of loading with black powder, including musketballs.
I'm familiar with musketry and the loading procedures of flintlocks of the 18th century. Before the mine-ball, bullets were just spherical, and they managed somewhat decent accuracy with them.
So anyone know if loading up shotshells with musket balls for smooth or rifled barrels would work ok, accuracy and energy aside? Just for high caliber thick smoke plinking, maybe hunting based on results?
