PERHAPS THIS MIGHT BE A GOOD TIME TO CALL A LOVED ONE AND JUST TELL THEM HELLO AND THAT YOU LOVE THEM. A FRIEND COULD USE A CALL ALSO. BLESS YOU AND MAY GOD KEEP YOU FROM HARM
Great idea for a post, Jerry. Yes, Dana is probably the most respected member on G&G, even though some of the newer members have not had the fortunate opportunity to have had discussions with him. I definitely remember when the post by Dana, that you showed us through the URL link, was fresh on our minds. His advice is just as appropriate today as it was at that time. We sometimes tend to forget how fleeting our lives are so these reminders are very helpful.
Personally, I've missed Dana on the boards lately and certainly hope that all is well with him and his family. I would be eager to hear how the major remodeling of his "camp" in the mountains of Vermont is coming along. Maybe we'll get lucky and he'll join us some evening on CHAT...or write a post on G&G describing his new dream retirement home up in the snow covered mountains.

Truer words have not been spoken. My Dad lost his battle with lung cancer September 21 of this year. It's been difficult even though I spent a lot of time with him during the last days. I had many chances to say what I wanted to, but could not bring myself to say anything for fear of sounding like a sissy to him.
Man, what I wouldn't give to hear his voice again over the phone....
Thankx Guys
I am still here

Camp is not finished but we moved back this fall. My wife made me retire this August at my 75 Birthday. Have had cataracts removed from both eyes and am waiting to get new glasses. See OK at distance but can'tread a thing .
I check all posts but still operate on the fact if I can't add anything of value I should keep my own thoughts.
