| A new gun store
Saw a new place yesterday and stopped in. Its a very small place but the guy deals mostly in antiques but still has new guns. Since he is such a small firearms dealer I'm sure he cant buy enough new guns to give us guys much of a deal. In fact, pistol prices were very high. BUT, two or three of the antiques were amazing. One was an 1866 Henry but had a badly rusted barrel. Not worth $3500. He asked if I was interested in antique guns. Well, DUH!! Then he took out another Henry from a gun case. He said it was from 1860. It was amazing. Still had some blueing, no rust or pits, fully functional. It wasnt for sale yet but he said "maybe" if the price was right. I didnt ask the price. If ya have to ask, you cant afford it. Never handled an original Henry before. It felt good! Now to find some .44 rimfire... |
