*insert creative and humor filled title im too lazy to come up with*

so, its the end of the week and i did what any average college student before finals would not do... i just picked up my 2nd pinball and a new gun only in south dakota can you buy a pinball machine and a gun within hours of each other, no questions asked, and even have the machine shrink wrapped free im the proud new owner of a williams fire pinball and a remington nylon 66 in black. $60 and $10 in subway gift cards got me the '66 so i was rather happy... i noticed my gf's dad owned a nylon 66 in the brown wood look and rather liked the look of it so had planned for a while to get one. buddy i bought it from was offering me a package deal of $325 for that and a single shot .410 so im thinking about asking to see it, he says his dad bought it for $400 new and that sounds rather steep for a single shot shotgun. maybe its made of solid gold, with a platinum barrel? about the only logic i can see. im off to play with :flame: ^^

Thumbs up

You'll like the Nylon 66 a lot. I have the black stock/chrome barrel 'Apache Black' and the 'Mohawk Brown' you mentioned. Both are good shooters.
Blow the action out with compressed air to get the crud and dust bunnies out - never oil it! The nylon frame is 'self-lubricating'.
Don't detail strip it unless you are real good at jigsaw puzzles. Pulling the barrel is the most you should have to do.

I'm 'not so seriously' looking for a 'Seneca Green' now to fill out the collection.

wasnt sure if the apache black meant specifically with the crome barrel and white diamond... mine has a blued barrel and black diamond. and i used ash's request of a range report as excuse to go out and use it... shooting against the sun, no scope. hit a 20oz bottle 7 out of 10 times... first shot wasnt really at it, was kinda just have it a ways away in case it malfunctioned. was a bit impatient also so wasnt taking time aiming too precise.. was rather cold out at the time -- blowing wind with cold.

Exclamation

I've been wanting another Nylon since I went in the Army back in '76...I learned to shoot with one back in '67.

Parents got rid of it while I was in...chrome receiver...Apache black.

Saw a brown one at a shop last week but it was badly neglected and was brown...blued receiver
