Springfield Armory GI Basic 1911A1 It caught my eye and the wife was no where to be seen, so I bought it. I have a few of these, but they are all WWII issues so I wanted a shooter.

Howdy, Troll! Been awhile. My buddy just traded his SA off for a SIG - the 1911A1 just wouldn't shoot well. But he likes the 1911 platform, and is looking at others. Luckily, he kept the aftermarket grips and mags, just in case! The SA is a good deal, considering the extras you can get with it.

The 1911 is about the only auto pistol I like. I want a fully loaded gold cup, but the boss wont aprove the funds lol. the sig is a nice weapon though.
