Exclamation Remember Guys, It's The Example We Set...

GunandGame members, this is an off topic forum, but the goal of this website is firearm ownership and freedoms given to us by our Constitution. That is what I seek to promote. You guys as members set an example to any interested person who finds this website and wishes to learn about firearms ownership, safety, and enjoyment. Constant bickering back and forth over political and religious issues makes us look no better than the ACLU. Let's cool our jets and give the arguments a break. If you wish to take things up with another member over a heated issue, use the PM system or e-mail them. I also wish to remind all members that trolling and flaming is not allowed.

Thanks and Merry Christmas,

Jesse

I tire of the Political threads on this site. This is Gun and Game. Too much BS about politics and not enough about shooting and firearm sports.
If I want that crap thrown at me I would go turn on the news. Firearms are an escape for me, and I enjoy shooting them, tinkering with them, and talking about them.
Politics, I do not.
Just my 2 cents. Thanks Jesse

Not sure what happened but glad it is being nipped in the bud. Thanks for making this site possible Jesse and I hope to be here more shortly. This year has been my busiest yet with family, a rental property, gun stocks and a few health issues to mention. Also I took up Presidency of the Cleveland Fiero club for the 2nd year and built two cars this year. I don't know how I do it with a 40 hour a week job.Where is retirement hahahaha.

Merry Christmas and Happy New years to all. Rick B {A.K.A. Stock Doc}

I'd rather just stay out of the Powder Keg. I'm not looking to set an example for anyone. I am my own example of myself.

Peer pressure usually works.
As a former mod, I have way fewer PM's of someone complaining about someone else now. Ignore the troublemakers, it works.

Also, if you look closely, most members engage in discussion in a perfectly courteous manner. There are only two or three folks who spark the mindless bickering.

It's good to occasionally take a critical view of ourselves and what we're doing or not doing. Thanks Jesse for the reminder.

And...Merry Christmas and a Happy New year to all.:right:

Merry Christmas everyone. I haven't been here in a while either. Back for the same reason as James.
I got up before light this a.m. and went out coyote hunting just to celebrate the upcoming holidays. No yotes though. If I have time between shopping and taking by dog for a haircut I may try it again tomorrow.
Go hunting or shooting and leave the politics out.
2 more cents!

Jesse, have no idea what your talking about. I don't have the time here to read all post.
" "Constant bickering back and forth over political and religious issues makes us look no better than the ACLU." "
HuH? Where does that come from? We're so above the aclu.
I love a spirited intellectual politicical debate, not the "bumper sticker" bickering threads like on Yahoo. But bring up the aclu! My Blood crawls every time I hear of those anti-Americans! Them and the southern poverty law center too!. These two groups ought to be brought up on racketeering Charges and heads roll like the rats they are! Check your copy of "communist goals" and the aclu fits right in. Any group that defends MBLA, well to me, actions speak loader that words and they ani't worth a spit!

Merry Christmas and Have a Wonderful New Year! May God Bless

Myarmor you have to understand nothing is more polarizing to the Liberals and Gun haters than you and me owning firearms and enjoying what the 2nd Ammendment guarantee us. I live in NY and the ememies of the 2nd Ammendment (Clinton/Schummer) is making lawfull ownership of some weapons illegal and a possible confiscation without any rebate to owner. These knuckleheads want to make it impossible to defend your yourself ,home, family and most important our country and way of life. So you want to shoot guns and be ignorant of anything political ? Geez its time to wake up and stop the individual trying to steal away your rights.

I really like this forum,it has the powder keg for ranting and plenty of gun related forums, and other interesting forums as well.
The powder keg is not a gun forum, although many threads are about things that affect gunowners, again, this forum is versitile and I like it.:right:

As a matter of standard procedure for me, the first forum I open on G&G is the Powder Keg. Seems to me that much of what I'm stimulated by is written in that forum. Then I move on to the New Threads forum, before reading more comments in the Humor Room. Everyone has their own system but the Powder Keg is an important part of what I read, even though I don't make that many comments there.

I am rather tired of discussing politics. I get in a big long talk with somebody and I have to re-explain it to each new person and they have to do the same. Unless you are a terrorists or brain-dead, then we probably have similar views. Anyways, how about them Diamondbacks? They'll have a better season this year.
