Ya they really came tolife. I say, it really speaks to Guillen's character that he was willing to take on a team that was generally always known as losers. Really speaks to his character

I can tell you are a compasionate guy and level headed. It is people like you and I who have to become the people in power with level headed views.

FM - I was referring to Dennis' solution to the problem and the ensuing argument.

I agree, using nukes or going hog-wild on all muslims would turn the world against us. And we couldn't win a war against the rest of the world. The end result would likely be Mutually Assured Destruction for all of us.
I like the surgical attack method, but even a general invasion of the correct country would do fine for me.

I like surgical attack too. I like any way that spares innocent people just scraping pennies for their chlidren to eat and kills only the enemy

There is no argument with the rest of the word that terrorsts are bad, It is the argument of how to destroy them that causes an upraor. THere is no easy way to do it. They are smart. Smarter than all the jerks who choose to fight within than do what they know is right.

It is hard to set an example when our President can't even articulate his words. If we had me in the chair then, well, nope bad idea. But you know what I mean.

You know, working together and supporting our leader in a time of crisis sounds really good. but what if the idiot's h-bent on driving off a cliff? Does it make sense to close ranks, fall into line and follow him?

If he's doing something basically wrong, doing more of it isn't going to fix the problem.

I don't think Bush is an evil, "bad" person. But if he's listening to a small handful of ideologues who look at the world thru their dogma and see what they want to see instead of seeing what's there, the results are the same.

If we hadn't unnecessarily invaded Iraq, we'd have the credibility and the forces to put some muscle on Iran now.

THat is a reallly good point. If we didn't waste out credibility on Iraq than the rest of the world would be on our side with taking out Iran. But, I've never heard a U.S. official state that Iran is a threat. Why is that? They have to know and the rest of the country knows, So, why is that? Is it because we must focus on the terrible blunder our Presendet and his administration made and now we have to deal with that before moving on to the real threat. While we focuse on Iran Iran grows in power and before we know it, it is too late and we are screwed. Lets get somebody in office who stops !!!!!footing around and does something about the real threat we face.

I forgot, if you talk like I do then you are un-patriotic and your head belongs on a stick. Don't speak your mind or you are a terrorist supporter. Everyone at my work thinks I am a terrorsit supporter because of my views. After talking to you guy I realize I am not alone. I can't believe the only people who agree with me are marines and cops. That is nuts. I am a crazy pot-head liberal and the only people who share my views are cops and marines. You guys rock.

Here Here,Troy.

SKS- Ya might wanna start consolidating your thoughts a little into singular posts instead of typing a sentence and posting it, typing a sentence, posting it in multiple posts. If you don't, this thread is gonna end up 47 pages long.
Just a friendly suggestion

I must admit I voted for Bush not only because I could never vote for the others but, because I honestly thought him to be our best choice....especially the first time. The second time, i was completly disillusioned with him. This war has been a raw spot with me, amoung other things...no need to mention. I have watched him become more and more drunk with power. I have watched him smurking at the media when his wrong doings were pointed out. I have actually felt the "buggers" flipped on me, and other Americans by him in his flipant manner. I have noted his absolute refusal to admit wrong doing. I have also noted his quest for more government power over the citizens. I have watched him create a new government office so large, we have no idea where it begins or where it ends. I've watched him rejoicing in legislation that seeks to do nothing about the so called terrorists but does seek to reduce/suspend my cival rights and make what used to be cool now against the law. I've watched him rejoice at his greater power over us all and then allow misconduct to be used in association with these new laws. In this respect I view him as evil. I was sickened as he tossed our countries' respect out the window and i was angered by his refusal to respect the thoughts of those whom we were actually seeking opinions from! Years ago, my step mother, whom i dispised, said to me:"-------, how can everyone be wrong and you right?" Well, thinking about that, it's possible I could be right and everyone else is wrong! But, statistically, as Data (from Star Trek) put it: " The odds of that happening are enough to make the most ardent of gamblers run screaming from the room!" This logic is what Bush should have used when he decided to lie to all of America so he could go get that bad man, Saddam! Now, as you, Troy2000, have pointed out, our resources are almost gone, we've used up/angered all our friends, we have no more troops to speak of and our reputation, world-wide, looks more like hash marks than anything else. I think it's fair to say Bush has done us all a great disservice. But, to be fair....it's no crime to be stupid or guliable. However, since so much harm has been done, I think the discriptive term of "negligence" could be applied here. I know, Bush will never see a day in jail for his crimes but, I just wanted to point out, in greater detail, my anger over this mess. And, thought there is no need to remind any of you, this mess is going to be with us for many years to come. I guess I better get used to it....

I see bad times ahead for our country. We are becoming more polarized every day. Remember after the last election the word "secession" even began to be uttered more?

Troy2000,Rufus,ducktapehero,and some others have it pretty well nailed down,I must agree with most of it,the train is out of control.
As to none of our politicians saying Iran is a threat,Israel started it just like with Iraq, watched it on Fox and CNN,I think we would be in Iran now if Russia hadn't stepped into the picture.
We think Bin Laden is in Pakistan, but won't do much but fly choppers around(to help with the Quake),could be because they have nukes.
Bush wants the Saudis to change the school system because it teach strongly anti-semitism,anti-American,and anti-West,making grsduitesgood candidates for terrorist groups, they are now entering Iraq to fight us,I don't know, but it seem that this mess is getting worse rather than better, and by punishing some while rewarding others that are both guilty of offences we are destroying what little is left of our credibility, which is important even if most don't seem to think so.
