Wow, when I started this thread there were 3 pages, now theres nine, amazing. And even better, theres some actuall decent ideals expressed here. But now I have to ask, if we all feel this way, (and I imagine that lots more of us feel this way), why isn't anything happening about it? I didn't understrand what was happening in our country a few days ago, but now it has become a little more clear. It pains me to see these things happening, but what can we do about it? The whole thing is sort of like a Catch-22 it seems. Keep posting guys, this is helping out a lot

I think there is something we can all do. It is make our voice heard. Encourage people to speak their minds, and if enough people do it then things will happen.

The problem is ounce politicians get high enough in office they are as crooked and corrupt as our neighbors down south. Only looking out for their interests and wallets. Nothing more than the big corporations puppets. THe country is ruled by the paper, oil, and medical corporations. It is their lobbiests who chooses what bills are passes and who signs them. the war would have been long over
a two or three year campagne and ALL the middle eastern countrys would have been "cleaned out" and reset up again.

Now we can barely summon the will to defend ourselves after haveing the heart carved out of our largest city and our capital city Attacked.
Not to mention our Nations Capital buildings being poisioned with ANTHRAX

has efficiently been forgotten.......
because if it became known that Iraq had supplied the biological agent then the War would be completly justified, but then the Sarin Gas IED's kinda went by the way side and was not talked about,

Dennis, I enjoyed reading your post. For the most part, i agree. But, one thing you failed to mention is the our government is not fighting this war like they want to win. We just blunder around looseing our troops every day and we have nothing to show for it except a horrific bill that will take decades to repay. bush, sleezy little dirt bag that he is, has lied to us and miss-represented the facts so long, he has no credability, at least not with me and, i'll bet, many others. However, I agree let's toast them filthy rag heads one and all but, bush will not turn the troops loose. As i said before, the so called "green zone", where all the troops relax and government folks are, we can't even protect that area. We need to get real serious about this "war". If we did, maybe folks would support it. bush won't even move to try to close our borders. Hey, if bush ain't concerned about protecting America, how do you expect the rest of America to feel? I agree, most are dumb and numb...but, they see plenty. bush is the problem and needs to go....to jail, preferably, for his patriot act! and we need to get to business of war! just like VN, we fool around so darn much nothing gets done. you can't tell me a bunch of third world rabble, riding camels, is tougher than our troops! No, the problem lies with the leadership...or lack there of! And you are correct, they don't seem to have the will to win. The cure for that is a rope and a tree....then get some replacements! Let's get rid of all the Islamic People, actually all dark skinned people. They haven't been very respectful to us lately. While we're at it let's get rid of the minorities in our country, and the women. They have been getting pretty uppity. Incinerate all of those splinter religions too. Let's get rid of the democrats and other commie liberals.
