Looks like I'll be off the rest of the week until Saturday when the YL and I start the vacation to New Jerkski and South Carolina. The trip to Tucson was unexpected and I took some of my vacation time, fortunatly I had three weeks coming to me. "Life is too important to be taken seriously."

The YL, Kitty and I are at her dad's home in Conway S.C. We left home Saturday after she got home from work, drove to New Jerkski and spent the night with her mom and took Mom to breakfast Sunday Morning, then we came to Conway. We're Planing on leaving Wednesday to go to Raleigh N.C. to visit her cousin and friends, northward bounding toward Vermont for the weekend. "Life is too important to be taken seriously."

Kitty and I are in Brookville Pa. at the Flying J. We just showered, breakfasted, and fueled and are ready to head east, on our way to Needham Ma. for Wednesday Morning delivery, then back to Vermont. (Kitty didn't really shower, I licked his face.)

Kitty and I are home from our trip, I went to the range today to sight in the Winchester Model 94AE .44 Magnum. The first time I fired it, it was shooting about four inches right at fifty yards and I thought that was un-acceptable. I had to drift the sight to get the windage right and now I have to clean it and put it in the armoury. I hope to sell it for something useful, or give it to my nephew.

I'm looking at a Remington 870 Tactical shotgun. The Winchester is a good short range brush buster, but I'm not impressed with Winchester lever guns.

Otter...refress me on ICC rules. Is it still 10 hrs max. in service before at least 4 hrs off? What are the time in service/out of service rules now?

January 2004 brought in the new rules, we're not allowed to drive more than 11 hours or after being on duty after 14 hours after 10 hours off. Once the driver comes on duty he has a 14 hour window in which to complete his driving. In October 2005 they changed the rules again, no longer allowing us to split our off duty time by takeing 2 periods in the bunk of at least 2 hours each. The only way to split off duty time is one period has to be 8 hours in the bunk and the other period can be sleeper or off duty. Sleeper berth is the only way to extend the 14 hour window. 34 hours off gives to driver a fresh 70 hours for 8 days instead of gaining the hours you worked 8 days ago. The new rules don't aply to bus drivers who still work under the 10 hour 15 hour rule after 8 hours off. Clear as mud?

I'm in Deepstep Ga. (Sandersville) waiting for a load going to East Greenbush NY. for Monday morning. This will allow me to go to New Jerkski for the family re-union (Girlfriend's) on Saturday. Kitty is napping behind the microwave oven, and I'm getting into GunandGame via wireless router compliments of the shipper.
