Corfu, New York. I had an accident this afternoon, Kitty and I are waiting in a hotel room for a wrecker from Vermont to bring us another tractor. I ran into whiteout from wind driven snow and ran into an accident that had just happened. Wasn't pretty. Kitty and I are okay.

Home at last! Kitty and I just got home. No charges from the accident. We spent the night Wednesday at a hotel, our spare tractor arrived Thursday morning and we went to Lyons New York to pick up a load, we didn't get loaded until 18:00 hours Friday and we drove back to Vermont. On Monday I have to go deliver my load in the next town and file my accident report. It looks like $15,000 to $20,000 in damage to my tractor, hood, Bumper, radiator, condensor, intercooler, cowl, maybe more once we open the hood and see what happened. Good to be home.

Say Otter do you ever get into North Dakota? If you do it sure would be nice to meet a fellow G&Ger.

Too bad I couldn't meet up with MosinDave while I was in Athens, Ga. I'm in Resaca, Ga. on the way to New Bedford, Massachusetts. Plenty of time to get there.

I'm in Carnesville Georgia. I was going to meet up with MosinDave, but the weather turned crappy and I lost cell signal. Maybe next time.

I'm in Clear Brook Virginia on my way to Suffield Connecticut where I expect to have Sunday off to do some flying. Perhaps take a twin Cessna or helicopter to Block Island for lunch.

For those who haven't been kept in the loop, on July 18th. I was fired from my job driving for the company that I've been working for for 10 years, 3 months, 11 days. I went home and filed an on line application with a company I'd been looking at in Estherville Iowa for several months. I was relutent to leave the company I was with, but when I got fired I applied to the company in Iowa. I was hired that afternoon, spent three days cleaning out my truck, took my vacation pay and filed for unemployment. I had an appointment for DOT & FAA medical physicals for the first of August. so on August 2nd. I drove to Iowa to start the new job. The company put me in a new Western Star and installed a Willis APU for heat & A/C. I left HQ Estherville Wednesday after the results for my pi$$ test came in and went to Wayne New Jerkski, reloaded out of Youngstown Ohio going to Estherville Iowa, I'm now in Waterloo Iowa for the night. I deliver in Estherville Monday morning.

Good to hear you made a quick transistion from the old job to the new, Otter.
This is one of the threads I keep an eye out for, although I don't see any point in responding on it myself most of the time.

Otter, glad you had options open to you for a quick getaway so to speak. Do you have any good stories for us?

Otter,
Glad to hear you came out topside up and found a new job almost immediately. Consider it your old company's loss and your gain.
