Well, i won't even try to understand as the reality of it was bad enough. I comfort myself by telling myself, they got what they wanted.

Dems in 1941 and now are completly different. Men like FDR, Trumann and JFK wouldn't recognize their party now. The wacko liberals have hijacked that party. Can you honestly say that Klinton, Gore, Kerry and Ms. Klinton are anything similar to FDR, or JFK?

As for Billary, I lived under their rule here in Ark for eight years before their 8 year presidency. It sucked. Bill is the biggest crook around. When he ran for prez, I couldn't stop laughing, I thought no way this crook will get elected! The last time he ran for governor of Ark, he promised if elected he wouldn't run for president. But that's typical slick willy.

I was a Republican until these power-hungry, money-grubbing, steal-from-the-poor-to-give-to-the-rich, cram-Big-Brother-and-big-government-down-your-throat, lying-sacks-of-excrement neoconservatives hijacked the party.

So why didn't he have any money when he was done? Was he that bad at it?

Does anyone really think one big-league politician is any bigger a crook than the other?

There are degrees of crookedness just as there are degrees of incompetence.

And then there are the people who not only lie to us, but insult our intelligence on the order of, "who're you gonna believe? Me, or your lyin' eyes?"

I think it is possible one politico can be more crooked than the next. Makes sense, a flower can be bigger than another flower...why not politicos? Come to think of it, that's how it was the last time I voted. They both sucked. They both sucked big! But, bush sucked just a tiny bit less than algore and just a tiny bit less than kerry. So, I choose the politico that sucked the least of all those who suck since all of them suck to some degree or another. However, sucking being what sucking is, since algore and kerry (who we already agree suck) did not get a chance to suck even more than they already do, and bush did get elected, and boy, does he suck (on a scale of one to ten...he's about a nine) it's impossible to fairly gauge the level of sucking the three would be/are at. The only thing that is for sure is that they all suck. To suck is not good. But, they all suck and that's just how it is. Doesn't that just suck?

:insane:

Steal from the poor and give to the rich?!?!?! You dont really believe that do ya? A politician that really did that wouldnt last long!! I assume you are refering to the so called "tax cuts for the rich". If you do the research, you'll see that the top 50% (rich folks) pay 96% of all taxes.

If I make twice as much money as my neighbor, why shouldnt I get twice as much back from a tax cut???

Also, last I checked the Dems where the party that wanted bigger guvment!

If the repubs don't straighten out, something has got to give. Troy, I think you are absolutly correct in your discription of the repubs at this point. I do realize you are being kinder than me, and I'm sure the repubs appreciate it! Once again, Troy for prez!

troy-

I do agree with you that Bush and many Republicans have grown the gov. and it's powers too much. I do fault him and them for that and the border problems. But anytime I see the old republicans are the party of the rich thing, I can't help but put my 2 cents in.

Feinstein went from being Mayor of San Francisco to being Senator; she never held statewide office. Neither did Pelosi; her first political job was Congresswoman. Nor did Barbara Boxer, our other anti-gun Senator. She moved from County Supervisor to Congresswoman to Senator.

California passed it's first major gun control law (against concealed weapons) in 1923 under a Republican governor.

Mandatory waiting periods for handguns passed in 1952, under a Republican governor.

The Assault Weapons Ban showed up in 1989, under a Republican Governor.

It wasn't until 1999 that a major gun control bill was signed by a Democrat instead of a Republican. And the idiotic ban on .50 caliber rifles in 2004 was signed by Schwarzenegger, who is--guess what--a Republican!

I'm not ambitious enough to research the makeup of the Legislatures that passed all those laws, but in California it's almost impossible to put together a two-thirds majority to over-ride a veto. So even if the Republican governors didn't support the gun-control laws, they certainly didn't try to stop them.
