Always Better to bury it in the Back yard...I can believe this from the homeland security stuff i'm seeing here and hearing about from my Army buddies out of Ft Richardson. You ought to see their "Urban Assault" exercises....Hey, like I dicussed before, If the economy Crashes, and Banks are locked up like in 1929...You ain't getting your BOX! I know cause my Family lost Millions !

If you HAVE a bankbook, read the inside cover. I would bet that your "Demand Deposit" says that you may have to wait up to 90 days for them to have to give you your money.

There IS no DEMAND. My Credit Union pays .9 percent on my account, though the Prime has gone up quarterly for about 11 quarters in a row.

At .9%, I lose very little taking my cash and tucking it under the mattress. 9 bucks per thousand per year, on which I have to pay Income Tax, so mebbe .75% actual increase per year.

Mebbe buy something that keeps up with, or ahead of, inflation. Whether gold, silver or diamonds qualify, today, I don't know, if I did, I probably wouldn't be here, I'd be watching my investments. I do know that MY 401k, sucks.

it's no more stupid than homeland security itself....or the idea of homeland security or the idea that homeland security wants to protect us from mean ole terrorists. In truth, it's nothing more than a huge underfunded bunch of jack booted thugs who will hurt and abuse anyone or any laws just to continue to justify thier existance, for which, there is no excuse or need. The whole sheebaang should be ended now...before they can do anymore harm to America and her citizens.
